Lexus just transformed their superb LC500 cut into A Super GT Racer , 
meets the new rider of 2017 Lexus LC500 Super GT, ready to participate in the category Japanese GT500 from next year.
developed by Lexus Gazoo Racing, Super GT LC500 will replace the CCR in the Japanese series of Touring.
in contrast to the regular production model which is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, the Super GT version will use a unit of four-cylinder 2.0-litre Twin-Turbo direct injection producing more than 600hp and paired to a box sequential six-speed.
with the GT500 regulations similar to those of the DTM series, all participants are based on a frame tube to measure with the minimum weight 1020 kg (2248 lbs).
so it may look like a LC500, but as with other modern passenger cars, the resemblance stops somewhere over there. The extreme aero with the huge fixed wing, bulging wings and the exhaust gases coming out of the huge lower body don't leave much doubt about it.
Lexus says they will start developing the LC500 Super GT testing this month of September in order to prepare for the 2017 season.
