Images of the new Jeep grand Cherokee Jeep Trailhawk hit the web just before an official release at the new York Auto Show next Wednesday. And to answer your first question, no, it does not seem to get the Hellcat supercharged V8.
The images that appear on at Jalopnik show the extent of the visual enhancements Trailhawk receives regular Grand Cherokee, with a backdrop of the desert.
The Trailhawk name is also used on Cherokee and Renegade variants, which means more butch style and off-road prowess than their normal counterparts, consisting of the height of raised fund, off-road-oriented tires and other visual enhancements, including breakdowns and red go.
Although official details have yet to be released, we can see the GC Trailhawk has Goodyear tires with dark rims accented five-spoke, thicker wheelarch flares and front bumper featuring red tow hooks black bonnet panel, Trackhawk badging and red stitching inside. Although very subtle, they go quite a long way to give the GC a more aggressive appearance.
We are still holding out 707hp, the Hellcat-powered version promised by Sergio Marchionne of the great man at the Detroit Motor Show this year, expected to become the fastest SUV in the world.
In the meantime it's a pretty nice appetizer before the main course. We'll bring you more details as they come to hand.
