the first generation Renault Twingo has been one of the long models of the French manufacturer. In 1992 at the motor show in Paris and placing on the market a year later revealed, the Twingo was produced with minor until 2007 updates, when the second generation model came in the picture.
with its monobox, the Twingo form boasted impressive interior space and modularity for a car of its size. Add to that the "friendly" face with round headlights (which made many people compared to a frog) and the futuristic dashboard layout and it is pretty clear why the Twingo was produced for 14 years without major changes.
However, the genesis of the car was not easy. The project began in 1986, but was blocked shortly after because Renault had no funds at the time. Until 1988, when Patrick Le Quément has joined the company as Director of industrial design, the Twingo has been given a chance.
