South Korean Hyundai is upping the stakes with the development of its first dedicated hybrid to take on the Toyota Prius model and its like.
our spy shooters believe that the prototype Hyundai they caught on a transport truck in the Arctic circle that is the car.

Hyundai Motor CEO Kim Choong-ho had pointed to plans of the company to launch a model gas / electricity, hybrid only, at a launch event in Korea of the South in October last year, where he said:
"will take us the lead in the future by increasing the competitiveness of our environmentally-friendly cars such as hybrid cars, plug-in hybrid cars and hydrogen fuel cell cars."
very few details made their way, but Hyundai would build the car on a common platform, maybe on the next generation Elantra compact, equipped with a parallel installation on the Powertrain, combining the use of an engine four-cylinder 1.6 liter with an electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery.
a rechargeable hybrid version could follow the launch, which should happen in Korea during the second half of the year 2016.
