but according to the Gold Coast Bulletin Palmer has yet to pay the fine, even if it has been four months since he received the ticket and there now are liable to jail!
the news site reported that while the status of sanctions application registry search Palmer, stuff of mining magnate told the police he is trying to get the fine rejected, even if the time of appeal 28 days available in these cases has passed.
"the fact is that Mr. Palmer had 28 days to appeal while he is out of luck," a legal source said Gold Coast Bulletin.
"there are two options. The first is fine, the second is to refer the case to the courts to have the fine quashed. "Mr. Palmer has taken no action within the period of 28 days and it would be highly unlikely that the Court would reopen the question", the source added.
