Cadillac announced select 2017 year vehicles will feature "smart and connected" advanced technology, including Super cruise automated system of training and communication for vehicles (V2V) technology.

the new vehicle without a name which will feature Super cruise, the working name for GM automated driving technology, may be coming to Cadillac sedan. Great cruise will offer customers features like no interventionist lane suite, braking and control of speed in certain road conditions. GM says the system is designed to increase the comfort for a careful driver on highways, the bumper to bumper traffic both on long journeys.
regarding communication V2V, says GM technology it could mitigate the many traffic accidents and improve traffic congestion in sending and receiving security information to base such as location, speed and direction of travel between vehicles approaching each other. V2V will warn drivers and will complement the active safety equipment, such as collision before warning, already available on many production cars.
"a wave of innovation has boosted the global auto industry, and we take these giant step forward to remain a leader in new technology", said Baker. "We don't do this for the love of the technology itself. We do it because that's what customers around the world want. Through technology and innovation, we will make driving safer,"the Executive added.
according to a recent study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the economic impact and societal collisions of motor vehicles to the United States is over $870 billion (€ 672 billion) a year.
