of Disneyland Autopia is back on the road again off in January for a makeover and this time they got Honda onboard as a new sponsor.
Autopia, the only attraction existing Tomorrowland that dates back to the opening day in 1955, was one of the many attractions of Disneyland which were temporarily closed for renovation, as the theme park has undergone a number of upgrades and updates.
Honda involvement as a sponsor brings a fresh lick of paint, the coats of arms and the engines of the Japanese mini-cars, along with an update to the attraction look and scenario.
you would think that Disneyland would go to batteries mini cars, because, you know, that's kind of what we expect of a place called "Tomorrowland", but they are sticking to gasoline engines - for now, at least, with Honda, saying that these engines are "clean and efficient fuel.
talk about sponsorship of Honda of attraction, Steve Morikawa, American Honda Motor Vice President of Corporate and community relations, said:
"Honda is proud to support the renovation of Autopia - really iconic part of Disneyland Park experience. As the world's leading manufacturer of engine and a mobility company, we are energized and excited by this opportunity to make sure that the joy of mobility, powered by Honda, will be part of Disneyland Park experience for years to come. "
