It may come as a surprise to some goal 2013 marks the 113th (!) anniversary of the New York Auto Show . From March 29 until April 7, the Jacob Javits Center at New York City will host the third major international car show of the year on U.S. soil, in four levels and nearly 900,000 sq ft.
Even though it comes right after Geneva the NY show isn't short on first - though, admittedly, the most important of them are targeted to the North American market.
General Motors, for example, will reveal no. less than five new models, among them the all - new Cadillac CTS and the revamped 2014 Chevrolet Camaro .
if Geneva was the hypercar show, then New York is certainly the SUV one, with Toyota, Acura, Land Rover and Infiniti launching the Highlander, MDX Range Rover Sport and QX60 respectively. Oh, and of course, Chrysler's brand new, controversially styled 2014 Jeep Cherokee will also make its world beginning in NYC.
Last, but not least, the Hyundai group will unveil the new Equus sedan and the revised Kia Optima Hybrid and VW new Golf in its normal and GTI versions.
