those who feared Mazda would make the 2016 MX-5 Miata in a real slug can rest easy. But it does not start with the engines to make a tyre shredder, either.
at the Paris Motor Show, Mazda confirmed an engine SkyActiv of 2.0 liters for the new roadster, which is the size of the top engine of the current model. It also seems that it will be very similar to Unity 2.0-liter 155 horses in the Mazda 3 and CX - 5, although the company insists that the MX-5 will get its own setting. A little more horses probably is within reasonable limits.
and in accordance with the previous reports, the MX-5 engine base for European markets and Asian will be a new 1.5 litre SkyActiv configuration. And while this engine is expected to produce just about 100 horses in Mazda 2 2015, this will very likely a big bump in the MX-5. Mazda has yet to announce the release of figures for each engine.
I'm all for a tiny motor equipping the Miata destined for the United States, but two liters is fine. And it is not necessary more power.
