Recalling 235 000 Turbo MINI models all over the world
the BMW Group has announced a global recall of approximately 235.00 turbocharged Mini models due to a problem with the circuit board of the pump electric auxiliary water which cools the turbocharger on the engine.
the company stated that the circuit could badly run and overheating that could lead to a vehicle fire adding, however, that we have no reported injuries or accidents related to the glitch.
in the United States, the safety recall concerns a total of 88 911 vehicles. It's certain 2007-2011 model year 2008-2011 Mini Cooper S Clubman, Mini Cooper S, 2009-2011 Mini Cooper S convertible, 2009-2011 Mini Cooper JCW, 2009-2011 Mini Cooper Clubman JCW, 2009-2011 Cooper JCW convertible and 2011 Cooper S Countryman cars built from November 14, 2006, through January 18, 2011.
the automaker said it will notify owners of the affected models and have dealers replace the pump of water free of charge. In the States, the recall is expected to begin in February 2012.
